Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel supports the Legal Division by dealing with legal matters with a view to minimizing SIT’s risk exposure. As a team, the Legal Division also manages the corporate secretarial duties for the Board of Trustees of SIT. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract review (including collaboration agreements, non-disclosure agreements, employment-related agreements, procurement tenders, finance and banking)
  • Draft documents according to the needs of the various Divisions in SIT
  • Perform legal research and provide legal advice to the various Divisions in SIT, including on personal data protection matters
  • Facilitate and organize Board meetings, drafting Board minutes, resolutions, circulation of correspondence, notices and information to the Board of Trustees
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements
  • Law degree from a recognized university
  • 5 – 7 years of working experience, at least half of which are as in-house counsel
  • Some prior experience in advising on personal data related issues
  • Excellent oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritise and work within tight deadlines
  • Meticulous and responsible
