The Technical Officer supports the operations and maintenance of the teaching clinics and labs; ensuring the teaching clinics and labs are in conducive condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and trouble-shooting of the lab equipment for the teaching clinics and labs such as isokinetic system, VERT system, RIS/PACS system, Anatomage system etc.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and maintenance to ensure safety, cleanliness and tidiness of teaching clinics and labs under HSS.
  • Provide support to Teaching Faculty and Professional Officers in preparation of equipment and consumables for the practical session.
  • Perform procurement of lab equipment and consumables in support of academic modules. 
  • Co-ordinate all incoming equipment and items from vendors and place in respective teaching clinics and labs.
  • Ensure that all equipment are in good working conditions and inform POs if there are any equipment faults.
  • Track, manage and maintain inventory of lab equipment and consumables.
  • Track and maintain lab documentation for the teaching clinics and labs (Equipment Manuals, Risk Assessments).
  • Ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations in the teaching clinics and labs.

Job Requirements
  • Preferably with at least 2 years of work experience in labs. Prior experience in health science lab will be an added advantage.
  • Have a minimum Polytechnic Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or Health Science, or equivalent qualification.
